Cheryl believes in the power of pausing and reflecting to gain clarity. She encourages individuals to take a step back, as this process can be valuable in understanding their needs, processing emotions, and moving forward with greater clarity and strength.

As a licensed counsellor, Cheryl is passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s uncertainties with resilience. She primarily works with young adults (between their 20s and 50s) in corporate and educational settings, supporting them through career transitions, stress, self-doubt, relationship dynamics, and personal growth.

In therapy, Cheryl creates a compassionate, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts and emotions at their own pace. Her approach is grounded in Choice Theory Reality Therapy (CTRT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), and Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT). She focuses on what is within a client’s control, helping them build practical solutions and move forward with clarity and confidence.

With a background of growing up in an international marriage family and living in Malaysia, Cheryl understands the complexities of cultural transitions, identity shifts, and adapting to new environments.

Beyond her work, Cheryl enjoys exploring art galleries, staying active at the gym, and embracing new experiences that challenge her perspectives. She also appreciates a good cup of coffee or tea and often finds solace in art galleries, where she reflects on life, art, culture, and personal growth.

Amanda believes in journeying alongside her clients as persons, discovering, and learning together. She has witnessed how this approach is effective in bringing about restoration of the mind and heart especially in grieving and processing thought and emotions in the therapeutic setting. She also advocates for a healthy challenge on the journey and applies Ellis’ REBT techniques in sessions. Amanda holds that change is constant and therefore integrates the philosophy of existentialism when interacting with clients. She finds that it strengthens clients in discovering meaning in various circumstances and or realities.
