Chitra is a Singaporean Counsellor that believes in the power that we all have within us to heal ourselves. Sometimes, it just needs a little push and a little support. That is what she is here for. As a counsellor, she provides clients with a safe space to bring their struggles in and work with her to solve their problems. Chitra works primarily with adults with mental health issues that include relationship issues, workplace challenges, anxiety, depression, addiction, stress, burnout, grief, adjustment issues and more. With 10+ years of experience in recruitment, HR and startups, she is well-versed in offering career navigation-related coaching and managing workplace issues. She uses Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) as her main tools for counselling. Chitra holds a Master of Counselling degree from Monash University and a Bachelor in Psychology from the University of Michigan. She is also a Certified Career Coach and is currently a PCM with the Singapore Association for Counselling. When she is not working, you will find Chitra reading psychology and counselling-related books, research articles, and fiction. She also enjoys watching psychological thrillers and playing with her 6 year old dog as part of her self care routine. Chitra speaks English and Hindi.
