I am a certified Psychologist & Psychiatrist in Northern part of Somalia (Somaliland). I've ample experience treating patients with psychosis, depression, anxiety, neurological disorder like epilepsy with the comorbidity of mental disorder. I have been working closely with patients and families for the last fourteen years. Moreover, I former director of the department of Mental Health in Hargeisa Group Hospitals, Hargeisa, Somaliland (from August 2020 to June 2023). Hence, I have a plentiful experience and knowledge about mental health issues in Somali communities.
