About

Multicultural psychologist open to hearing you wholeheartedly and working toward solutions to help you improve yourself, your life and your relationships, bring healing and understanding. My approach is informed by women's health, LGBTQIA+, expat and trauma perspectives. Having moved at the age of 19 from Romania to the Netherlands to begin my journey as a psychologist, I have lived and felt many of the experiences that come with being an expat while searching for purpose. Living in multicultural cities and amongst internationals has given me insight into the cultures and values from many places in the world. My own mental health journey has shown me the power of connection and healing through therapy. When we open ourselves up to professionals who can meet us where we are and guide us forward, it is a transformative experience. I am passionate about humans reaching their potential and making peace with all parts of ourselves. I focus on building trust in the relationship with my clients and meeting you where you are right now in life. I am curious and patient, contributing my knowledge while listening to what you practically need from our sessions. I come into our sessions as my authentic self, offer compassionate support and a kind ear who won't judge you, but will help you see new perspectives and guide you in finding your way again. This is always a safe space for LGBTQIA+ folks. I use a holistic approach, paying attention to the mind, body, and emotions, working under the supervision of a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist. I mainly work with a combination of cognitive behavioural techniques to help you understand your coping patterns and make meaningful changes in your behaviour; acceptance and commitment therapy to find peace in the present and live according to your values; schema therapy approaches to explore and heal the origins of your emotional pain, understand your triggers and develop self-compassion. I wish to help you untangle your thoughts and your life story. My goal is for you to feel safe, be supported and have the tools to move forward. As a therapist informed by LGBTQ+ perspectives and experiences, I provide a safe and inclusive space for individuals of all gender identities and sexual orientations to explore their emotions and experiences. Having dived deep into research on affirming gender care for trans folks during my studies, I have a deep understanding of the struggles and experiences in the world of this group and provide a safe and inclusive space to explore and meet your needs. I help people needing support with: - depression - anxiety (social or general) - burnout - procrastination, fear of failure, perfectionism - expat challenges (e.g. acculturation) - life transitions - loneliness - identity problems - relational problems - emotion-regulation skills - those wanting to learn about themselves, personal growth. I am always here to get to know each other and discuss how we would fit together with a free 15-minute consultation call. I look forward to welcoming you into our sessions and supporting you in your journey!
