As a young licensed therapist from Brazil specializing at the fundamentals of counseling through the Psychoanalytic Theory, I've worked with teens and adults of all ages. From my experience I've learned that our contemporary relationship with time is intrinsically provoking anxiety. Such knowledge has restructured my work as a therapist: rather than focusing simply on symptom reduction, behavioral adaptation, or result oriented therapy, my practice through Lacanian Psychoanalysis targets the subject's singular relationship with desire and cuts speech to reveal structural cycles of repetition, rather than offering ego-strengthening guidance.
