Fiona Akello

I am a Counselling Psychologist with First Class Honours and experience in counselling, psychosocial support and mental health assessment. My areas of specialisation include trauma recovery, gender-based violence, anxiety, depression and women's mental health. Having grown up during the LRA conflict in Northern Uganda, I bring both professional knowledge and a personal understanding of the lasting impact of trauma. I am particularly interested in culturally responsive counselling and community mental health. I am passionate about making psychological support accessible to underserved populations.
