As a Licensed Psychologist in the Philippines, my approach to counseling and psychotherapy is as much as possible holistic so the psycho-spiritual approach is included when initial intake interview reflects client openness to the topic on spirituality as a contributory factor to one’s full and soonest recovery. Otherwise, client's preference not to include spirituality is respected. Most commonly recommended interventions are based on Positive Psychology, Cognitive-Behavior Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Brief Solution Focused Therapy, Social and Behavioral Change Theory, Humanistic/Existential, Developmental and Motivational Theories, Gestalt Therapy and Psycho-spiritual Theories.
