Hi there! I am glad you reached my profile, so I can share with you the passion I have for my job as a multicultural clinical psychologist. Together, we will create a safe space to overcome moments when you feel stuck, lonely, or low, and rise towards a greater sense of meaning, identity, fulfilment, and empowerment. We will work on the present, grounded in your actual experience, and setting realistic objectives to measure improvements. We will also look at how multiple factors, including the physical, social, emotional, intellectual, cultural, vocational, spiritual, and environmental ones, have shaped your distinctive personal story. With an understanding, non-judgmental, and often humorous attitude, I use an integrative approach, combining the attention to the individuality of each person with the scientific rigour of the evidence-based methods. I am also a certified Mindfulness teacher and, when appropriate, I will embed mindfulness in our sessions. Most of my work is about the relationships people have with others and themselves, and a healthy regulation of emotions. It gives me satisfaction to support people in achieving a greater freedom, especially when they are pressured by their own definitions of failure and success. More generally, I work well in the areas of personal relationships, study and career, life transitions, parenting, LGBTQIA+, and mourning. I also have experience in supporting people with diseases, and their carers. I carry on mindfulness-based interventions for children, adolescents, and adults. I love working with people from all continents (except Antarctica!) and from a great variety of cultural backgrounds. I have myself been an expat in Spain, China, Ireland, Belgium, and a traveller in many more places. I keep travelling and getting inspired through the life stories and often unique perspectives of my clients.
