About

Life is a long journey where people will experience various events that constitute our current “self”. Sometimes, people are stuck at certain points of life with complicated negative feelings or with a feeling of numbness, and they keep struggling till they find the way out.   For me, empathetic understanding and emotional support are important elements that help me heal and feel better during a tough time. Thus, it is one of the reasons that I want to become a counsellor, where I can provide a safe space for people to heal or explore their own journey. In the sessions, I aim to help my clients understand the issues from different perspectives, as well as to create awareness of their own behaviours, feelings, expectations, goal/ what they really want, and other related aspects. Counselling is a process of healing, letting go, exploring, and growing; it takes time and also needs a lot of courage to face the issues or past unpleasant experiences. It is okay to feel sad, angry, afraid, or vulnerable in the counselling process, as no one will judge or laugh at you; you can be who you are. However, just remember, we can explore and discuss the issues together, but you will be the one who makes decisions about what you want to do next since you are the expert in your life, not others.
