Carolina Cota Almeida

I am a licensed psychologist (CRP 05/68453) based in Rio de Janeiro, with a master's degree from UFRJ focused on perfectionism, body image, and eating behaviors. My clinical practice centers on individual psychotherapy with adults and adolescents, drawing on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Schema Therapy, and contextual approaches such as ACT and DBT. I work extensively with clients navigating anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder, as well as those facing difficulties in their relationships — helping them understand and shift the patterns that keep them stuck. A significant part of my practice is also dedicated to eating disorders and weight management, where I draw directly on my master's research into perfectionism, body image, and eating behaviors to address the psychological factors
