About

Hi, I'm Cathy, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who works with teens and adults. I understand that reaching out for therapy can feel overwhelming, and finding the right therapist is an important decision. My goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where clients feel comfortable sharing openly and exploring the challenges that bring them to therapy. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I believe that every person has a unique story, and I strive to understand the experiences, relationships, and challenges that have shaped who they are. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and other outcome-focused interventions to help clients build insight, develop effective coping strategies, process difficult experiences, and create meaningful change. I work with clients facing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, relationship concerns, family conflict, life transitions, self-esteem challenges, and stress. Together, we identify goals that are important to you and develop practical tools to support healing, resilience, and growth. With over 20 years in a private practice setting, I understand that many people are balancing significant responsibilities while carrying struggles that others may not see. I believe therapy is not about fixing people; it is about helping people better understand themselves, build on their strengths, and move toward a life that feels more authentic and fulfilling. I consider it a privilege to partner with clients as they navigate challenges, heal from painful experiences, and work toward the changes they want to see in their lives.
