I am a psychologist with a Master’s degree in Psychology from Jyoti Nivas College, Bangalore, with a strong interest in counselling psychology, emotional well-being, psychoeducation, and trauma-informed care. I am passionate about helping individuals gain insight into their emotional experiences, relationships, and personal growth through a compassionate and client-centred approach. My professional experience includes a Psychology Counselling Internship at Brain Biceps, where I was involved in observing counselling sessions, reviewing case histories, participating in case discussions, assisting with action planning, and engaging in therapeutic role plays. These experiences strengthened my skills in active listening, empathy, rapport building, case conceptualization, and understanding a wide range of emotional and behavioural concerns. A unique aspect of my work is my interest in using metaphors and storytelling as therapeutic and psychoeducational tools. I believe that complex psychological concepts become more accessible and meaningful when explained through relatable metaphors, allowing individuals to better understand themselves and their experiences. My communication style combines warmth, curiosity, and creativity, helping create a safe and engaging environment for reflection and growth. Beyond counselling, I actively create psychology-based educational content aimed at increasing mental health awareness among the general public. Through social media and digital platforms, I simplify psychological concepts and promote emotional literacy in an engaging and relatable manner. My areas of interest include adolescent and young adult mental health, self-esteem, emotional regulation, interpersonal relationships, identity development, body image concerns, and psychoeducation. I am committed to continuous learning, ethical practice, and supporting individuals on their journey toward greater self-awareness and psychological well-being.
