About

Reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step, and I want you to know that whatever brings you here is welcome. I offer a warm, safe and confidential space where you can slow down, explore what's really going on for you, and be met without judgement. So much of what we carry isn't really ours to begin with. Over the years, our inner voice can become tangled with the voices of others, our parents, teachers, friends, the wider world, until it can be hard to tell where their words end and our own begin. Sometimes that voice quietly tells us things like I'm not good enough or I don't deserve this, and we mistake it for the truth. My hope is to help you find your own voice again, the one that was there before life layered other people's expectations and judgements over it. The work we do together is about gently uncovering what's really happening beneath the surface, making room for feelings that may have gone unheard, and reconnecting with the clearer, more honest sense of self that has been there all along. My practice is rooted in a person centred approach, and I draw on a range of therapeutic models so that the work can be shaped around you rather than a fixed method. I hold a BA (Hons) in Psychology and an MA in Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of Nottingham, and I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
