About

Hello, welcome to my profile. Here you will find some of my work and approaches. I work holistically (with the whole person) and Integratively (with different types of therapy). Psychotherapy approaches: I use often, CBT, CFT, IFS, Attachment theory and Rewind for PTSD and Phobias Qualifications/Experience: Mental health Therapy: 11 years at a UK University, providing a 6 session focused model of Therapy, for mild to moderate conditions, e.g. anxiety, depression, panic, health anxiety etc. Psychosexual Therapist: I am a licensed Senior accredited Therapist with COSRT. I work with individuals, couples, polyamory, providing highly specialised assessment of sexual problems e.g. low desire, premature ejaculation, vaginismus etc and create unique ‘treatment’ plans. Sex/Porn Addiction: I am highly experienced, working with people affected by compulsive behaviours, and also their partners. I am a Professional Qualified member of ATSAC. Shame, betrayal and loss of trust feature hugely. This is a mental health issue, not a moral issue. Partners ask ‘what have you done’, therapists ask ‘what has happened to you’? A lifetime of abstinence, is not the goal, to discover what feels sexually healthy for you/your partner, is. Love Addidtion: Obsessing about a partner, or longed for partner, which is interfering with your life. This is a survival mechanism that has become a problem behaviour. Sexual orientation OCD: For distressed people believing they have an unwanted orientation. NOT conversion therapy. Sexual Kinks, Paraphilias/Fetishes: A Paraphilia is an attraction to ‘atypical’ sexual activities. Fetishes need specific ‘objects’ e.g feet or urine etc to orgasm. People often want to understand themselves and sometimes there is a partner mismatch. Features are shame, self-loathing and low self-esteem. Legal Behaviour: I work to keep sexual behaviour legal, to prevent offending. Partners welcome. 16 week specialist program. Relationship Therapy: Dynamics of; communication, cheating, emotional disconnection, trust issues, money, parenting etc. Relationship OCD If there is a problem/condition not mentioned here, please email me to ask about it. I address clients’ goals together as a team, to help them live and feel better. I am trauma informed. I uphold confidentiality and ethical practice. I connect quickly with clients, and am relaxed, warm and never judgemental. When appropriate I like to see the funny side of life, as laughter is healing. Therapy is a lot of hard work and a little bit of magic. “Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.” – Carl Bard
