I am an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT therapist) with extensive experience supporting adults experiencing emotional and psychological difficulties. My approach is trauma-informed, neuro-affirming, and compassionate, recognising that many struggles develop as understandable responses to life experiences, environments, relationships, and unmet needs rather than personal failings. I work collaboratively with clients to develop a deeper understanding of their difficulties and to find practical, meaningful ways forward that fit who they are as an individual. Therapy with me is grounded in warmth, curiosity, and respect, with a focus on creating a safe and non-judgemental space where people feel understood. I have experience working with a wide range of difficulties including depression, anxiety disorders, PTSD, complex trauma (CPTSD), ADHD, dissociative difficulties, and autistic clients. I am particularly passionate about supporting people who may have felt misunderstood, overwhelmed, different, or stuck for a long time, including those navigating shame, emotional dysregulation, relationship difficulties, or the long-term impact of trauma. Alongside evidence-based CBT approaches, I integrate trauma-informed and compassion-focused principles, adapting therapy to meet the needs of neurodivergent clients and those with complex experiences. I understand that therapy is not โone size fits all,โ and I aim to work in a way that feels validating, flexible, and genuinely supportive.
