About

Dr Marta Sosnowska first began her training with an MSc in Psychology from the University of Warsaw, followed by a PGDip in Mental Health from Middlesex University, before completing her DClinPsy at the University of Essex in collaboration with the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust. Her path has taken her through a variety of clinical and managerial roles in NHS and private practice, including leading training and placement initiatives, piloting Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT) in Complex Care, providing supervision, and supporting organisational change to implement autism-friendly approaches. She has also contributed to projects developing supervision capacity for DIT at the Anna Freud Centre, shaping the way she now works with clients. In the therapy room, Dr Sosnowska brings a pluralistic, integrative approach, tailoring her work to the needs of each client. She draws on training in Schema Therapy, Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT), Mentalisation-Based Therapy (MBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET). She works with individuals, couples, and families to address emotional, relational, and systemic difficulties. She is trained to conduct comprehensive assessments, considering you as a whole person rather than a specific issue. She tailors treatment and integrate multiple therapeutic perspectives to create a plan that is both evidence-based and uniquely suited to you. Dr Sosnowska works with individuals facing a wide range of challenges, including depression, anxiety, stress, bereavement, adjustment difficulties, perinatal issues, postnatal issues, personality disorders and relationship difficulties. Alongside her therapy work, Dr Sosnowska has specialist interests in identity and interpersonal relationships, generational and collective trauma, feminism, intersectionality, critical psychology, culture and group processes, and neurodiversity.
