Sharmi Gowri-Kriszyk

I am a trauma-informed Psychologist and Consultant Senior Therapist with 20+ years’ experience across NHS and private sectors. I am both trained and experienced in working therapeutically with a wide range of mental health/psychological issues. I am also the Founder and Clinical Director of a specialist trauma-focused practice, providing therapy, supervision and consultation. I am trained in Level 3 Clinical Supervision and work as a clinical supervisor as well, which is reflected in my therapeutic work as well. I have worked as a Specialist Trauma and Attachment Therapist in the past, and still specialise in the area of trauma and attachment, including developmental trauma, PTSD, and C-PTSD. My work has been endorsed by Pete Walker, who often sends me referrals. I am also trained in EMDR (Level 1-4) and continue to attend advanced training in attachment-focused and somatic approaches. I am experienced and trained in working with couples, adults, children and families, including complex risk and safeguarding presentations. I am also trained and experienced in working with a wide range of modalities such as integrative, systemic, CBT, psychodynamic, humanistic etc. Skilled in research methods, psychometrics, and use of SPSS, BDI, and CORE-10/34, PHQ9, GAD7 and WOS5. High proficiency in administration, IT, and data management.
