Shira Ram

As a licensed MSW, I provide nonjudgmental, compassionate, and integrative counseling for individuals and couples navigating anxiety, depression, immigration, and an affirmative approach to neurodiversity (ADHD, autism, and giftedness). I also offer focused work with executives, supporting high-level performance and navigating the unique intensity and workload of their roles. My work is rooted in attachment and experiential frameworks, with a specific focus on avoidance-based approaches to help clients move through deep-seated emotional blocks and address the ways that past trauma continues to impact their current lives and relationships. ​My practice utilizes both short and long-term interventions through a highly specialized lens: I am certified in EMDR (Europe and EMDRIA), Schema Therapy, and EFCT (where I am also a Supervisor-in-Training), alongside Level 2 training in AEDP and EFT for individuals. ​I am deeply committed to growth within the field of psychotherapy; I am currently co-authoring an article with Dr. Tuly Flint on the synergy between EMDR and EFCT, and I regularly lecture on integrative work that bridges EMDR, Schema Therapy, and EFCT. I find great joy in working within multicultural contexts, helping individuals and intercultural couples navigate the beautiful complexities of their diverse backgrounds.
