Jheovanna Luiza Morais

I am a Brazilian psychologist with a degree from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), one of the most respected universities in Brazil, and over five years of clinical experience. My work has been deeply shaped by my experience in hospital settings, including intensive care units, where I supported patients and families dealing with grief, loss, severe anxiety, and critical emotional distress. I have also worked with individuals in vulnerable situations and low-income communities, which has given me a strong understanding of resilience, trauma, and unspoken emotional pain. I have experience facilitating group therapy, especially with individuals who carry long-standing emotional wounds that were never given space to be expressed. I provide a safe, non-judgmental environment where clients feel heard, while also helping them develop awareness, emotional regulation, and new ways of responding to their challenges. Additionally, I have a particular interest in compulsive behaviors, including gambling addiction, an issue that is becoming increasingly common and often deeply connected to emotional regulation difficulties. I also have experience supporting individuals with neurodevelopmental conditions, including autism, as well as working with people with disabilities, adapting my approach to meet each person’s unique needs. I am committed to providing an inclusive and respectful space for people of all identities, including LGBTQ+ individuals, understanding the unique emotional and social challenges they may face. My approach is attentive, honest, and focused on helping clients gain clarity, strengthen their emotional capacity, and create meaningful, lasting change.
