Warm greetings to everyone reading! I’ll begin with a small introduction about myself. I am Shruti. I’ve worked in various fields related to psychology for a decade now. Teaching in colleges, creating and delivering mental health related training content, research and have been providing mental health therapy to individuals from 16-65 years of age since 2017. I am a trauma-informed, queer affirmative psychotherapist using an integrative approach through the lens of intersectionality. I use scientific therapeutic models that are rooted in emotions, body, thought and behaviour. My therapy work also draws inspiration from the calm, connection, and insight that nature and animals provide. I aim to create and hold space that is non-pathologizing, collaborative, integrative, authentic, warm and exploratory for the client. Therapy can seem overwhelming and daunting when you are deciding to start out. And it can often feel very heavy during the work we do together too. But showing up for yourself is the best thing you can do for yourself and I promise to work with your pace, comfort and understanding of the process we could be a part of. I look forward to working with you, on your journey towards a healthier mental health and total well-being.
