Andrea Photiou

I am a Forensic Psychologist and PhD student in Psychology with experience in clinical, forensic, and research settings. My work focuses on supporting individuals facing emotional and psychological challenges, with particular experience in trauma, domestic and gender-based violence, and vulnerable populations. I have provided individual and group therapy in diverse contexts, including counselling centres, correctional settings, and detention environments. My approach is client-centred and evidence-informed, aiming to create a safe and supportive space where clients can explore their experiences and develop effective coping strategies. Alongside my clinical work, I am actively involved in research on child sexual abuse and technology-assisted abuse, with a focus on professional training, risk, and intervention. I value a collaborative therapeutic process and aim to support clients in building insight, resilience, and meaningful change.
