From 2004 to 2010 i worked with adult mental health social services ( UK) in various positions with different councils. Where i worked with client of different ethnicities and cultures. I was trained for providing abuse training for staff which was also one of my duties apart from services , documentation and reporting. Since 2011 to 2015 , I worked part time as a visiting consultant in different mental health units. Here my exposure was to children and adolescent , parenting, couple and psychiatric issues and assessments as well as teaching. Psychiatric disorders and assessments of mostly on the out patient department and mild to moderate in severity eg anxiety, depression, behavioural, ocd , adhd, confidence, family dysfunction and conflicts. I also started working with hypnotherapy and arts based therapy after attaining a diploma during this time and started applying it in. From 2015 to 2024 , I worked as a clinical psychologist in psychiatry department of medical university hospital. I worked with opd as well as in ward patients ,thus dealt with mild to severe level disorders GAD, MDD, OCD, Bipolar, , delusional, personality, schizophrenia and other disorders commonly seen. I also got to work with few cases of rare disorders like narcolepsy, kleptomania, pyromania, dissociation. Here i got exposure to different ages, social status,backgrounds , culture religion as and caste etc. Most importantly I got exposure to rural as well illiterate or low education patients. I was also served role of student counsellor for university students and a visiting faculty for different levels (masters, bachelors, diploma) in university colleges like medical, rehabilitation, physiotherapy, dental etc . Worked here with adolescent and adults from all over India. I did training, events and awareness programme's for staff , students and community. Eg stress, addiction, mental health, wealth being This apart from psychiatric disorders i worked as counsellor for staff and students with common issues being, relationship, substance, family., parenting, career and performance. Since 2025 I am again working part time visiting different mental health units and out of full time work due to relocation and personal reasons.
