Kelly Josephine Alvarez

I am a BACP registered counsellor with over 500 post-qualification clinical hours delivering psychological therapy within Primary Care Talking Therapies at the Gibraltar Health Authority. I hold an MSc in Integrative Counselling (Level 7, Merit), alongside postgraduate training in psychology, and work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, relationship difficulties and complex life stressors. My practice is integrative and trauma-informed, drawing on person-centred, psychodynamic, behavioural and cognitive approaches to provide compassionate, evidence-based support. I conduct comprehensive assessments, risk evaluations and collaborative care planning while maintaining strong ethical standards and professional boundaries. I also have experience delivering counselling remotely through video and telephone sessions during my placement with Age UK Wirral, where I worked with adults presenting with bereavement, loneliness and anxiety. I am confident building meaningful therapeutic relationships online and providing accessible, high-quality psychological support in remote settings.
