About

I am a Psychologist with a Master’s degree in Family and Systemic Therapy and 22 years’ experience working therapeutically with individuals, families, and groups across the NHS and private sectors in the UK. My work is grounded in compassion, collaboration, and respect for each client’s pace and process. I also hold qualifications as a Clinical Supervisor and Consultant, am an NLP practitioner, and a certified Breathwork facilitator. My clinical practice integrates evidence-based approaches, including Systemic Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Gestalt Group Therapy, and Psychodrama techniques. Alongside these models, I incorporate mindfulness-based and somatic approaches, particularly Breathwork. Breathwork is a powerful somatic intervention that supports nervous system regulation and emotional processing. I use it to help individuals who have experienced trauma, struggle with anxiety or depression, or wish to explore more deeply what may be held in the body but not yet expressed in words. My approach aims to gently support clients in reconnecting with themselves in a safe and regulated way. I am also experienced in working with neurodiverse individuals, including those with ADHD, autism, and sensory processing differences, and I tailor my approach to meet diverse cognitive, emotional, and relational needs. I am highly experienced in conducting assessments, delivering individual, family, and group therapy, and managing complex clinical presentations involving both physical and mental health components. I regularly supervise clinicians and have extensive experience facilitating groups, delivering training, and providing consultation. Throughout my career, I have worked in both outpatient and inpatient settings as part of multidisciplinary teams, contributing to collaborative care plans that support recovery and reintegration into personal and professional life. I genuinely enjoy working alongside clients and professionals to help people not only recover but thrive. I have also been involved in developing innovative services throughout my career. I was one of the founders of a national pilot project for the early identification of vulnerable young people in the UK criminal justice system. I have since developed several services, including an Eating Disorders service, a Tier 2 CAMHS service, and a specialist service for foster and adoptive families. Originally from Madrid, I have lived and worked in the UK for 22 years. I am a native Spanish speaker and fluent in English. Working across cultures and supporting clients from diverse backgrounds is one of the aspects of my work I value most. Therefore, I can offer support in both Spanish and English. I work with individuals, families, and groups in a compassionate and collaborative way, always respecting each person’s rhythm and readiness for change.
