I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist based in Sri Lanka with experience working with individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, relationship difficulties, emotional distress, and life transitions. My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and evidence-based, with training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and trauma-informed care. I currently work with adolescents and adults from diverse cultural backgrounds, helping them better understand their emotions, develop healthier coping strategies, and work through past experiences that may be affecting their present wellbeing. My therapeutic style focuses on creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to explore meaningful change. Alongside my clinical work, I am involved in research and community mental health initiatives, with a particular interest in trauma recovery, emotional resilience, and personal growth. I believe therapy should not only address symptoms but also help individuals reconnect with their strengths and build a more fulfilling life.
