Sakshi Thakar

As a psychologist using CBT, REBT, Trauma Informed Care and Queer Affirmative Care, I have around 2 years of experience in individual counselling adolescents, young adults and children in school setups, facilitating mental health support groups in rehabilitation centres, planning and conducting workshops, awareness programs of mental health and suicide prevention across various colleges, schools, organisations of Mumbai and online. I have also trained batches of educators, staff from colleges and schools to develop first responders skill in mental health crisis situations, and helped one of the colleges to draft a mental health policy adhering to Supreme Court’s guidelines. I have been involved as lead psychologist in two health assessment camps with Railway Police and recently at schools to assess people’s wellbeing and guide them.
