Marcelo Vieira Matias

I am a Doctor of Counselling Psychology (DCPsych), Psychotherapist (MBACP Accred), EMDR Therapist and Supervisor, licensed in the UK and in Brazil, with experience working across charitable organisations, corporations, private practice, and academic settings. My therapeutic work is informed by an integrative approach, and I support individuals, couples and groups navigating burnout, workplace stress, trauma, identity questions, relationship issues, and emotionally demanding life transitions, via psychotherapy and EMDR. My doctoral research focused on occupational burnout in gay men, exploring how gender, sexuality and workplace dynamics impact emotional well-being and recovery. Originally from Brazil, I provide therapy in both Portuguese and English, both in-person and online.
