About

I hold Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC) with the British Psychological Society and I am currently in year two of my Gestalt Psychotherapy training, which is ECP and BACP-accredited. I am also a trainee member of the UK Association for Gestalt Practitioners. Alongside my psychology training, I hold an LLB in Law and several qualifications in forensic psychology and psychiatry, which inform my understanding of complex psychological and social contexts. I also engage in regular clinical supervision with a BACP-accredited practitioner, ensuring reflective and ethical practice. Professionally, I currently work as a Therapeutic Key Worker, where I provide 1:1 therapeutic sessions, group workshops, and psychoeducational support for young people within the care system. My role involves developing care plans and risk assessments, acting as a key liaison with social services, and collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams, including Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). I also contribute to staff training in mental health awareness and therapeutic approaches, supporting the development of best practice within the team. In addition to my clinical work, I work part-time as a researcher on the PERIScope Project at the University of Sunderland. In this role, I contribute to data collection, qualitative analysis, and project management for research exploring the developmental outcomes of adults born prematurely. I also participate in funding meetings and dissemination activities, and recently presented our research within the NHS Co-production series through the National Health Service. Overall, my experience spans therapeutic services, clinical settings, the care system, and academic research, allowing me to integrate clinical insight with evidence-based practice. I am particularly interested in the relationship between early experiences and adult mental health, and I plan to pursue a PhD focusing on trauma and the imprint of early trauma on later psychological wellbeing.
