Esmeralda Cruz

I am a Clinical Psychologist with over five years of experience in mental health, specializing in evidence-based therapies, particularly Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Contextual Therapies (DBT, ACT, and Mindfulness), for the treatment of mood disorders, personality disorders, and addictions in both adolescents and adults. My professional career reflects a strong commitment to comprehensive patient care, developed through diverse roles including private practice, university mental health promotion at UNAM, and specialized addiction rehabilitation at institutions such as the "Dr. Héctor Ayala Velázquez" Center and the Hospital Universitario 12 de Octubre in Madrid. Throughout my career, I have gained extensive experience conducting psychological evaluations, providing crisis intervention and first aid, facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions, and designing psychoeducational workshops aimed at promoting emotional well-being. In addition to my clinical work, I have developed strong research and analytical skills, with expertise in designing clinical research projects and performing statistical analysis using SPSS. I am currently deepening my knowledge through a Master's degree in Psychology of Addictions at UNAM and pursuing a degree in Gender Studies, which reflects my dedication to a multidisciplinary and socially informed approach to psychological health and human development.
