About

About Me: I am a Counselling Psychologist based in Budapest, originally from the UK with Hungarian roots. I have studied and worked internationally for much of my adult life and have lived across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. This experience has shaped both who I am and how I work, particularly my sensitivity to cultural differences, identity, and the emotional impact of relocation and change. I have worked with clients from a wide range of backgrounds and life stages, including people navigating transitions, relationship difficulties, questions around identity and belonging, and periods of emotional overwhelm. Having lived abroad myself, I understand how isolating it can feel to adjust to a new country, redefine yourself, or feel caught between cultures. At the heart of my work is the belief that therapy should feel safe, collaborative, and respectful. I aim to offer a space where you can slow down, feel heard, and begin to make sense of what is happening for you, at a pace that feels right. My Approach: My approach is integrative, meaning I draw from different therapeutic models depending on your needs and goals. I work primarily within humanistic, psychodynamic, and cognitive behavioural frameworks. This allows us to explore both what is happening in your present life and the deeper patterns that may be influencing how you relate to yourself and others. I see therapy as a collaborative process rather than something done “to” you. We work together to understand your experiences, build emotional insight, and develop practical ways of coping and moving forward. I value openness, curiosity, and compassion, and I adapt my approach to suit each individual rather than offering a one size fits all model. What I can help with: I work with adults who are experiencing anxiety, emotional distress, and periods of feeling stuck or overwhelmed. Many of the people I support are navigating relationship difficulties, low self-worth, or questions around identity and direction, particularly during times of transition. I also have experience working with individuals adjusting to life abroad, where feelings of isolation, cultural dislocation, or loss of stability can arise. Alongside this, I offer sensitive and grounded support to those impacted by trauma and past experiences, including sexual violence. My aim is to provide a confidential and supportive space where you can explore these experiences safely and at your own pace.
