I am a qualified and registered Therapeutic Counsellor. I am trained in a humanistic integrative counselling and my core theoretical model is person centred, which means that I put the client at the centre of the session and using listening, empathy, congruency and no judgement providing a safe space to help clients to find their true selves and navigating life challenges. I also draw on Gestalt, Psychodynamic, Brief Solution Focussed techniques and incorporating psycho-education with clients who would benefit from those approaches. I have a background in deaf education, audiology and hearing implants. I have lived experience of a unilateral hearing loss, tinnitus and a chronic fatigue illness giving me a greater insight into those conditions. I work with adults and young people. I have a L4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and a L5 Certificate in Counselling Young People.
