Camilo Herrera

I am a clinical and educational psychologist with a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and a second master’s degree in Educational Psychology. I am a certified Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) therapist, and my work is grounded in empathy, respect, and a deep understanding of human experience. I approach therapy from the idea that people’s emotions, thoughts, and behaviors always make sense within their personal history, relationships, and life context. Rather than labeling or judging experiences, I help clients understand how their inner patterns were formed, how they currently operate, and how they may be contributing to present difficulties. Through this process of understanding, we work collaboratively toward clear, meaningful, and achievable therapeutic goals. My sessions are structured, empathic, and evidence-based, providing both emotional safety and practical direction. I believe therapy works best when clients feel understood while also having a clear sense of purpose and progress. I have worked with individuals with a wide range of concerns, including emotional regulation difficulties, self-criticism, anxiety, life transitions, identity-related questions, and relational challenges. I also have experience working with trauma and trauma-related difficulties, approaching these processes with care, pacing, and a strong emphasis on safety and compassion. I see therapy as a learning and growth process, supporting clients in developing greater self-understanding, emotional balance, and the capacity to respond to life with more clarity, flexibility, and self-compassion.
