I’m Deshna Gundecha, a counselling and organisational psychologist, and at the heart of my work is a simple belief: healing begins when we feel truly seen, heard, and safe enough to be honest. I work with individuals who feel emotionally overwhelmed, disconnected from themselves, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. Many of my clients come to therapy carrying unprocessed trauma, anxiety, guilt, relationship struggles, identity questions, or a sense that something isn’t right, even if they can’t fully name it yet. My approach to therapy is trauma-informed, relational, and insight-oriented. I draw from psychodynamic principles, mindfulness and somatic work, and humanistic–existential therapy. In sessions, we don’t just talk about problems, we gently explore where they come from, how they live in your body and relationships, and what they’re trying to protect or communicate. Clients often describe my style as warm, grounding, and thoughtful. I balance deep emotional work with structure and clarity, helping you slow down, make sense of your inner world, and reconnect with your own voice and agency. I’m not here to “fix” you; I’m here to walk alongside you as you understand yourself more deeply and move toward a life that feels more aligned and authentic. Alongside private therapy, I’m deeply interested in workplace wellbeing and the emotional realities of modern work. I also support mental health professionals through supervision-informed spaces and support groups, recognising that those who hold others need care too. Therapy with me is a space to be real.. messy thoughts, silences, tears, resistance, and all. We move at your pace, with compassion, curiosity, and respect for your lived experience.
