Alice Brunoro

I am a licensed psychologist with extensive experience supporting individuals who have experienced trauma, displacement, and psychosocial distress. My professional background is grounded in humanitarian and mental health settings, where I have worked extensively with refugees, asylum seekers, and individuals affected by severe stressors and migration-related trauma. I hold a Master’s degree in Ethnopsychiatry and Migration Psychology, which has allowed me to develop strong competencies in narrative-based approaches, including Narrative Exposure Therapy, with a particular focus on meaning-making and life story reconstruction. My approach is empathetic, culturally sensitive, and person-centered. I work collaboratively with clients to create a safe and non-judgmental space where experiences can be explored at each person’s own pace. I integrate grounding techniques, mindfulness-based practices, and evidence-based tools such as WHO’s Problem Management Plus (PM+) to support emotional regulation, resilience, and coping. I have experience working in multilingual and multicultural contexts, including conducting sessions in English and French, and collaborating closely with cultural mediators to ensure respectful and effective communication. My goal is to support clients in reconnecting with their inner resources, fostering stability, and promoting personal growth in a way that honors their cultural background and lived experiences.
