About

I am a licensed clinical psychologist and Mental Health & Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) specialist with a solid academic background and extensive field experience in Lebanon. I hold both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Psychology from the Lebanese University, complemented by studies in Orthodox theology, which enrich my holistic and values-based approach to care. I bring over five years of progressive professional experience across NGOs, healthcare settings, schools, and community-based programs. My work integrates clinical practice, psychosocial support, capacity building, and team leadership, particularly in humanitarian and crisis-affected contexts. In my current role with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), I provide comprehensive psychological care, including assessments, individual and group therapy, and risk assessments. I work closely with multidisciplinary medical teams to ensure the integration of mental health into patient care, especially in trauma and emergency settings. Previously, I served as a Psycho-Pedagogical Team Leader at SOS Children’s Villages, where I supervised multidisciplinary teams, followed up on complex child and family cases, and led capacity-building initiatives. This experience strengthened my ability to combine clinical expertise with leadership, program development, and staff support. At the Danish Refugee Council (DRC), I provided career counseling services to approximately 1,500 beneficiaries, supporting them in building sustainable livelihood pathways. I also contributed to program implementation, staff supervision, and the delivery of life skills and employability training. Earlier in my career, I worked as a Psychologist and PSS Facilitator with Medair, delivering community-based MHPSS interventions, and as a school psychologist, where I provided counseling, behavioral assessments, and caregiver guidance. In parallel, I work as a freelance psychologist and MHPSS consultant, delivering trainings and Training of Trainers (TOTs) on mental health, trauma response, parenting skills, GBV, and child protection. I have facilitated sessions for diverse groups, including healthcare staff, military personnel, NGOs, and caregivers. My clinical foundation is reinforced by multiple internships in hospitals and NGOs, where I gained hands-on experience in CBT interventions, psychological assessments, play therapy, and working with vulnerable populations. My core strengths include: Strong clinical and therapeutic skills across different age groups Extensive experience in MHPSS within humanitarian and emergency contexts Proven leadership and team supervision abilities Capacity building, training, and facilitation expertise Specialized knowledge in child protection and GBV Ability to integrate clinical practice with programmatic and strategic work 👉 I am a field-driven clinical psychologist who combines hands-on therapeutic work with leadership, program implementation, and capacity building to support individuals and communities in complex and high-pressure environments.
