Sobhna Mungar

I am Sobhna Mungar, a licensed psychologist (AHPC Registered) with a Master’s degree in Psychology from Banaras Hindu University, India. I have extensive experience working in community, educational, and psychosocial support settings, providing counseling to adolescents, young adults, and adults. My areas of specialization include emotional regulation, stress management, grief, self-esteem, and family dynamics. I have delivered structured individual and group counseling sessions, psycho-educational workshops, and capacity-building programs for social workers and frontline staff. I am also experienced in supporting individuals facing trauma, academic challenges, and complex family situations. My approach to therapy is collaborative, empathic, and client-centered. I emphasize active listening, creating a safe and supportive environment, and using evidence-based interventions tailored to each individual’s needs. I aim to empower clients to develop resilience, improve well-being, and achieve their personal goals. I am fluent in English, Hindi, French, Mauritian Creole, and Bhojpuri, and I provide counseling both in-person and online, ensuring accessibility and flexibility for diverse clients.
