About

I define myself as a curious, enthusiastic, and creative person with excellent communication and empathy skills. I have been practicing clinically for over 21 years, with an integrative view of the human being and a strong vocation for helping others. I conceive the therapeutic process as a shared journey: it is the patient who suffers and understands their pain, and the psychologist who offers coping tools for healing, jointly exploring the invisible internal resources (which we all possess) to bring them to the surface. Like a bird: it needs two wings to fly. Human beings are very complex, and so is suffering. Therefore, I adapt to the needs and style of each person, attending to their particular way of experiencing the problem and taking into account the overall context: "exploring their past to understand their present and build their future." I understand that the goal of psychotherapy is to produce change. And it is through subjective changes that our perception of reality shifts. As Epictetus said, we don't suffer because of what "happens" to us, but because of how we "interpret" what happens to us. Therefore, by changing ourselves, the world around us changes. In my opinion, that's what it's all about: reading, rereading, rewriting, and reinventing ourselves.
