I was born in Hong Kong and grew up in Canada. I believe that the foundation of a strong therapeutic alliance lies in trust, genuineness, empathy, and compassion. By exploring the root causes of emotional distress, learning to embrace one’s feelings, and collaborating on a personalized treatment plan, I help individuals alleviate psychological pain and foster resilience. My ultimate goal is to support those in need and empower them to create meaningful, positive change in their lives. I have a track record of success in improving those with mood disorders, including depression and anxiety, stress, communication and relationship issues, low self-esteem or low confidence, searching for life goals and personal development. I also have extensive experience spanning a broad spectrum of psychological and mental health issues. My approach is both empathetic and pragmatic, ensuring that my clients achieve greater personal and professional fulfillment. Some of the evidence-based therapies that I incorporate into my counselling sessions include Person-Centred Theory, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Psychodynamic Theory, Positive Psychology, Emotional Focused Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy. My practice focuses on supporting a diverse range of clients, including adults, adolescents, and parents.
