Dr Stella Joseph DSc

I am a dedicated Educational Psychologist and Psychotherapist with extensive experience supporting the emotional, cognitive, and behavioral wellbeing of adolescents. Drawing on a strong academic foundation—DSc (2024), M.A and B.A in Psychology and a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychotherapy (PGDPC), I integrate psychological theory with therapeutic practice to promote resilience, self-understanding, and personal growth. Since 2008, I have been employed at Rosary School, Sharjah (UAE); however, since 2023, I have been giving psychotherapy to students experiencing academic stress, emotional difficulties, or behavioral challenges. Her therapeutic approach is integrative and client-centered, drawing from cognitive-behavioral psychodynamic principles to address diverse psychological needs. As a master catechist, I deeply enrich the church’s pastoral and community work by integrating psychological understanding with spiritual care. I have provided faith-informed counseling for individuals and families dealing with stress, grief, marital issues, or life transitions—helping them process emotions while drawing strength from their spiritual beliefs. My commitment to ethical, compassionate, and evidence-based practice ensures that each client receives holistic care tailored to their developmental and emotional context.
