Orestis Kasimiotis

Orestis Kasimiotis is a Psychologist and Psychotherapist who maintains a private practice in the central district of Athens. He holds a degree in Psychology and has specialized in Systemic Family Therapy at the Society for Systemic Therapy and Intervention in Individuals, Families and Wider Systems (ESYTHEPAS). He began his clinical experience at the Hellenic Center for Therapy and Education in Mental Health for Children, Adolescents and Young Adults (EKTHEPSY), where he was involved in history taking, clinical assessment, and the design of psychotherapeutic interventions for children and adolescents, working in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals. At the same time, through his voluntary work, he provided counseling support to individuals experiencing emotional and psychological difficulties, contributing to the development and implementation of therapeutic plans in cooperation with other mental health professionals. He has extensive experience in psychotherapy and counseling for both adults and minors, supporting adults, adolescents, couples, and families in addressing issues related to traumatic experiences, anxiety and stress management, interpersonal relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, broader emotional challenges, as well as matters concerning personal development and self-awareness. In parallel, he collaborates with mental health services and specialized therapy centers, participating in multidisciplinary teams that support children and adolescents facing pervasive developmental and/or learning difficulties, while also providing counseling and empowerment support to their families. As part of his ongoing professional development, he has participated in numerous seminars and scientific conferences in the field of mental health. He has also taken part, as a representative, in the annual symposium of the European Family Therapy Association – EFTA RELATES 2025 in Lyon.
