Lea Jacobsson

I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist from Sweden trying to support individuals from diverse backgrounds as they navigate life's challenges. Having worked with clients from all over the world, I understand the unique struggles that come with living abroad, adapting to new cultures, and finding a sense of belonging. My personal story is that I grew up in a bi-cultural home, speaking English and Swedish, traveled and worked in several different countries, and am now living in Mexico with my Mexican partner and our beautifully bi-cultural pug! I truly understand what it means to try to find your place in a new country, navigate different communication styles with a loved one, and handle life's different, creative challenges. This lived experience deeply informs the way I show up in my work: with curiosity, humility, and a deep respect for the complexity of being human. My approach is grounded in evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Trauma Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Mindfulness. But beyond techniques and frameworks, I believe that true healing and understanding happen in a space of warmth, authenticity, and human connection. My goal is to provide a safe and compassionate environment where you feel truly seen and heard, where we can work together to help you move toward greater clarity, resilience, and well-being.
