Kasey McComas

As a Master of Social Work student and clinical intern, I am passionate about creating a safe, supportive space where you can feel heard and understood. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process, and my role is to walk alongside you as you navigate life’s challenges, explore your strengths, and work toward the changes you want to see. I have developed experience through my education in Psychology and Human Services, as well as through experience in the mental health field and additionally in work with expectant and new parents through work as a labor doula. My approach is compassionate, nonjudgmental, and tailored to your unique needs and goals. Whether you’re struggling with stress, anxiety, life transitions, or simply seeking a place to process and grow, I am here to listen and support you. I look forward to working together and helping you build tools for healing, growth, and resilience. As an intern, I bring patience, empathy, and a nonjudgmental presence to my work with clients. I am particularly interested in exploring evidence-based approaches that promote self-awareness, emotional regulation, and empowerment while tailoring interventions to meet each client’s unique needs and cultural context. I also value the importance of reflection and supervision in my growth as a developing clinician. My goal during this internship is to deepen my clinical skills, strengthen my ability to integrate theory into practice, and provide a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard, validated, and encouraged in their journey toward healing and growth.
